I first began trying to get pregnant at the age of 40. Despite my age, I believed that I would be able to get pregnant. After several months of trying without success, I began to work with a fertility specialist. This was a very stressful experience for both my husband and me. After multiple unsuccessful IUI procedures I became very discouraged. I joined a support group for women experiencing fertility issues. It was from this group that I first heard about the use of acupuncture for treating infertility.

At 42 years of age, I began seeing Dr. Zhou. I found her to be very kind, helpful and full of information that gave me hope for a pregnancy. Eventually, I decided to pursue IVF. Dr. Zhou continued to work with me to help prepare my body for the procedure. Before even attempting IVF, I became pregnant with my own egg naturally and I was 43 years and 8 months old. I never had to go through the in-vitro process!
